> **way.food** is the direct-booking platform for event catering — foodtrucks, restaurants, caterers, and party services in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the United States. Event hosts compare bookable packages by location, date, and guest count; providers publish structured menus, extras, and event availability. Primary booking paths: **instant package booking** (select a package, pay a protected deposit via Stripe Checkout — the booking is binding immediately) and **custom offers** (request a tailored package at "price on request", negotiate in chat, accept a binding offer, then checkout). Alternatively, hosts can post an **open booking** for a specific date and receive offers from interested providers. Providers sign up to list packages, manage availability, and turn inquiries into confirmed events.

Public pages use locale prefixes (`/de`, `/en`, `/nl`). Individual open-booking pages use the canonical shape `https://way.food/open-bookings/{YYYY-MM-DD}/{slug}`. Provider profiles use `https://way.food/{locale}/{city}/{slug}`. City and category landing pages are generated dynamically; use the XML sitemaps for complete lists.
